15 gennaio 2024 – ArcelorMittal and the French government have agreed to an investment of €1.8 billion to cut greenhouse emissions in its steel production site in Dunkirk, France; the subsidy package of €850 million provided by the state has been cleared last July by the European Commission. The project will consist in the electrification of the site’s furnaces and the building of a direct reduction plant, which will progressively integrate low-emission #hydrogen in its operations.
